The Newaygo County Road Commission is committed to transparency and providing the public with access to public records in accordance with the Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The FOIA provides individuals with the right to inspect and obtain copies of certain public records maintained by the Road Commission, subject to applicable exemptions and requirements established by law. Requests for public records must be submitted in writing and should clearly describe the records being requested to help ensure an accurate and timely response. The Road Commission will process FOIA requests in accordance with the requirements and timelines established under Michigan law.
